AI Receptionist Pricing Sarah 24/7 — transparent cost, plans from $350/mo

$350 / month

one channel included · + usage from 15¢ per minute of conversation

That is the standard single-location rate, and it is the whole price list: $350 base, $100 a month per additional channel, 15¢ a minute of talk time. Custom terms exist only for multi-location and high-volume operations — nobody pays more without agreeing to it first.

What a month actually costs

Base plan $350, then only the minutes Sarah actually talks at 15¢ each. Honest math, all-in:

Solo truck

$350 + ≈ 200 min × 15¢

≈ $380/mo

Every call answered 24/7 — for a tenth of a part-time hire.

Growing shop

$350 + ≈ 600 min × 15¢

≈ $440/mo

A full-time front desk’s workload — at a fraction of its payroll.

Multi-truck operation

$350 + ≈ 1,500 min × 15¢

≈ $575/mo

Storm surges included — and volume terms kick in as you scale.

AI receptionist cost vs an in-house receptionist

The honest comparison is not “software is cheap”. It is what each option actually covers for the money.

Affordable, and why

What makes it cheap enough for a small business

People searching for a cheap or affordable AI receptionist are usually asking a fair question: why is this a few hundred dollars when a front desk is a few thousand? Because you are paying for conversation minutes, not for a chair being occupied. Sarah is idle at 4 a.m. and costs nothing for it; when the phone goes mad during a heat wave she answers every line at once without an overtime bill.

What we will not do is get cheap by removing the parts that matter. There is no plan here where after-hours coverage, booking or setup is stripped out to hit a lower headline price.

  • No per-seat pricing. Your whole team gets the output; you pay for the phone, not for logins.
  • No setup fee. Configuration and later changes are included, not billed as services.
  • Spam does not cost you. Junk calls are screened in seconds, so they barely register as usage.
  • No lock-in. Monthly billing; if it does not earn its keep, you leave.
Straight answer

Is there a free AI receptionist?

Not from us — and it is worth being sceptical when you see one advertised. A free AI answering service is usually one of three things: a demo with a handful of minutes, a limited bot that reads a menu and takes a message without booking anything, or a free tier that stops exactly where the value starts — after-hours coverage, calendar booking, call transfer. Answering the phone costs real money in telephony and compute every minute it happens, so “free” has to come out of somewhere.

What we do give away is the part that tells you whether this works for your business: a free callback demo. Leave your number, and Sarah calls you back configured for your trade — you hear the actual product on an actual call before any card is involved. And if something goes wrong after you have started, our terms let you raise a refund request within 7 days of a charge, reviewed in good faith. That is the honest version of “try before you buy”.

FAQ

AI receptionist pricing: questions

How much does an AI receptionist cost?+

With Sarah 24/7: $350 a month for the base plan, which includes one channel, plus usage from 15¢ per minute of conversation. A typical single-location business lands somewhere between $380 and $575 a month all-in, depending on how much the phone actually rings. Additional channels are $100 a month each. No setup fee, no per-seat pricing, no long-term contract.

What is a channel, and when do I need more than one?+

A channel is one line Sarah answers — usually your main business number. Most single-location businesses never need a second. You add one when you want a separate number and script: a second location, a distinct brand, or a dedicated line for a campaign. Each extra channel is $100 a month and comes with its own script and reporting.

What counts as a billable minute?+

Time Sarah spends actually talking to a caller, billed from 15¢ per minute. Ringing, silence after a hang-up and internal processing are not conversation. Spam calls she screens out are short by definition, which is part of why the bill stays predictable.

Is there a free AI receptionist, or a free trial?+

We do not offer a free plan, and we would rather say that plainly than hide it behind an asterisk. What is free is the demo: leave your number and Sarah calls you back live, already configured for your trade, before any card is involved. Beyond that, if something goes wrong in your first week, our terms let you contact support within 7 days of a charge and we review refunds in good faith.

Are there contracts or setup fees?+

No to both. Setup is white-glove and included in the base plan — we build your scripts, connect your number and calendar and tune it with you. Billing is monthly, and you can cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Is an AI receptionist cheaper than hiring a receptionist?+

For most small businesses, yes — and by a wide margin, because a front-desk hire is salary plus payroll taxes, benefits, holidays and cover for sick days, for roughly forty hours a week of coverage. Sarah covers all 168 hours. Run it against your own numbers in the ROI calculator rather than taking our word for it.

What if I have a heavy month?+

You pay for the extra conversation minutes at the same rate — there is no penalty tier and no overage fee. If your volume is consistently high, or you run multiple locations, tell us and we will put volume terms in writing before you are billed on them.
