The problem

A Spanish-speaking customer calls once

In most US service markets, a meaningful share of callers would rather do business in Spanish. What happens on that call decides whether they become a customer.

The hang-up

An English-only greeting ends a lot of calls in the first three seconds. Nobody leaves a voicemail in a language they are not sure will be understood.

The one bilingual person

Plenty of companies solve this with a single Spanish-speaking employee — which works until they are on a job, on holiday, or leave.

The evening call

Language coverage tends to be thinnest after hours, exactly when the calls that matter most come in.

How it works

One receptionist, two languages, no menu

A bilingual AI receptionist should be invisible: the caller speaks, and the conversation simply happens in their language. Sarah detects English or Spanish from the first words and continues in it — with your services, your prices and your booking rules, not a translated approximation of them. There is no "para español, oprima dos", no queue for a bilingual agent, and no transfer that drops the caller.

Everything downstream stays in one place. A call taken in Spanish books into the same calendar, follows the same triage and escalation rules, and produces a summary your English-speaking dispatcher can read. Your team does not need to speak Spanish to work the leads Sarah captures in it — and your Spanish-speaking customers get the same service at 9 p.m. as at 9 a.m.

Everything else, unchanged

Bilingual is a property of the receptionist, not a separate product

The Spanish call gets the same booking depth, the same recording and transcript, the same live transfer rules and the same follow-up ladder as the English one. It is the same Sarah — see everything she does or the multilingual feature page for the mechanics.

How the answering service works
  • Same intake, both languages. Your questions, asked properly, in whichever language the caller used.
  • Summaries your team can read. Spanish conversations, written up so an English-speaking dispatcher can act on them.
  • Text-back in kind. Follow-up messages go out in the language of the call.
  • No extra charge. Included in the base plan — no bilingual tier.
FAQ

Bilingual answering: questions

Which languages does Sarah speak?+

English and Spanish. We are deliberately not listing a dozen more: those two are what she does properly today for US businesses, and a receptionist who half-speaks a language is worse than one who does not speak it at all.

How does she know which language to use?+

She listens. If the caller opens in Spanish, the conversation continues in Spanish — no menu, no "press 2", no pause while a system decides. If a caller switches mid-call, so does she.

Are Spanish calls booked the same way as English ones?+

Identically. Same intake questions, same availability, same booking into your calendar or field-service software, same summary in your inbox afterwards — written so your English-speaking team can read it.

Does bilingual answering cost extra?+

No. It is part of the base plan at $350 a month plus usage, like every other feature. There is no language surcharge — see the pricing page.
